Privacy policy
[Your business name] (ABN [ABN]) · Privacy contact: [support@your-domain] · Applies to Chuck, Chuck jnr and this website. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. The key point: your class data stays on your device
Everything you enter into the apps — including students' names, marks, attendance, behaviour notes and plans — is stored in your browser on your own computer, and in any backup files you choose to save. We do not collect, receive or store it, and we cannot see it. An optional passcode encrypts it on your device; we can't recover a forgotten passcode.
2. What we do collect
- Purchase information — when you buy, our payment provider (Paddle) collects your name, email, billing details and payment. We don't receive or store card numbers.
- Licence records — to issue, re-send and support your licence we keep your name, email, the product and licence type, the order reference, licence ID and date.
- Emails — your licence is sent by an email delivery service. If you contact us, we keep your message to help you.
- Website — our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser) to deliver and secure the site. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics.
- School quote requests — the details you send us by email.
3. How we use it
To sell, deliver and support licences, send you your licence and important product notices, prevent misuse of licences, and meet legal and tax obligations. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only service providers who help us run the business — payment processing, licence delivery, email, and website hosting — and where required by law. Some of these providers store data outside Australia (for example in the United States).
5. Students' information
Student information you record stays on your device and is handled by you and your school under your school's and system's privacy obligations. We don't collect or use it.
6. Security, access and correction
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. You can ask to see or correct it, or ask us to delete your licence records (which may stop us re-sending a lost licence), by emailing [support@your-domain].
7. Complaints
Contact us first at [support@your-domain]. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
